Part 2 of my faves. and likes

The first time around I wrote down my favorite books and all. Now I would like to share my favorite songs and singers. With my daughters influence, I like all the songs of Taylor Swift. I love Lady Gaga as well especially her song Born This Way. But I have my own set of favorites as well, let's just say that these songs are during my time and I want to share some with you. Some of you may know who the singers are as well as the songs; some may not.

My all time favorite songs are:

1. I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith. Ever since I heard this song, it became one of my anthem.

2. With A Smile by Eraserheads. A local band here in the Philippines. I really love this song.

3. Have I Told You Lately the version of Rod Stewart is better than the original one.

4. Home by Michael Buble

5. I Finally Found Someone by Bryan Adams featuring Barbara Streisand, my theme song for my hubby, Francis.

6. In The End by Linkin Park.

7. Glory of Love by Peter Cetera from the movie Karate Kid, the original one actually.

8. Against All Odds by Phil Collins.

9. What Matters Most by Kenny Rankin, theme song of Francis for me

An Open Letter to my Ate Arielle

To Our Dearest Arielle,
I just can't believe that you are already thirteen years old. I believe that your tatay and i are really getting old. Hahaha! It was exactly 13 years ago when you were this small baby that i would cradle and carry around. i wasn't able to breastfeed you that long but I know we have a different kind of bond that only the two of us knows.

As a toddler you enjoyed doing all these different jigsaw puzzles that most of the time it will take you minutes to put it back together. We may not have enough books but i know how you love to browse at one, especially if we go to National Bookstore. And now at 13 you still love books and I am thankful for that. You have read my Harry Potter books a lot of times as well as the Twilight series.

When you were a kid you love the songs from Westlife and Backstreet Boys. Ahuh, you went to that boy band craze at a young age. But you like Josh Groban as well. Now it's different kind of music from singers such as Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, and yes, even Green Day. You also like the music of our local bands as well. I am thankful on the other hand, for you introduced me in your "music world".

But I can't forget how much you like, love and adore Daniel Radcliffe aka Harry Potter when you were just merely 3 and a half years old. You would always watch the vcds of Harry Potter. And now you've seen Tom Felton aka Draco Malfoy, the antagonist of the same movie series. You told me how cute Tom Felton is. Hahaha! Bye Harry Potter, hello Draco.

I just can't believe you're already my teenage daughter. You have different likes already. You ask me questions, that sometimes I am taken aback before I answer them. But I know that one day you will be definitely asking me a lot of stuffs but it's probably how I took it that is why.

I do have wishes, hopes and dreams as you turn thirteen:

1. I wish that you will grow up to be God-fearing.

2. I wish that you will find friends, who will truly be there for you in times of troubles or if ever you have problems. Friends who will accept and love you for who and what you are. Be sure to treasure them as well. (because I did)

3. I hope that you will continue to study hard and be a good student as well. i know you have lots of dreams and I hope you will be able to achieve, if not all, at least some of them.

4. Lastly, I hope that you will continue to be a good daughter to me and to tatay. Be a good example to your siblings Joie and Amaya.

I know we have our misunderstandings and differences but if there's one thing I am proud of, is that we could talk it over. Put things in their right perspectives. I would listen to you, to whatever feelings you have and you will listen to me in my explanations intently as well.

This is just the beginning of your journey to adulthood. And always remember that your tatay Francis and I WILL ALWAYS BE HERE FOR YOU, our dear Ate Arielle.

Happy 13th birthday and we love you so much, our dear Katherine Arielle, remember that always...

Loving you until the end,

mommy grechie

Introducing....

Hello my name is Ma. Teresa Grech Quiatchon Racal. Whew long name ha, I know. I am introducing myself here to serve just as an ice-breaker to those who will be blog walking. Born on the 20th of April and I could say that I am in late 30s. Hahaha! I am the eldest in the brood of four. I have 3 younger brothers.

I am married to Francis Vargas Racal for the past 13 years and still going strong. We have 3 lovely, sweet, intelligent and beautiful daughters namely: Katherine Arielle, who by the way, will be turning 13 on the 28th of this month; Josephine Therese who is 11 years old and the youngest, Amaya Isabell who is 4 years old.

I do love to read and even at my age I got hooked on the Harry Potter series which I've just completed already. I have the Twilight Saga wherein the beginning of the story I belong to Team Edward but when I read Eclipse, which is my favorite among the 4 books, I transferred to Team Jacob. Hahaha!

Thanks to my cousin Chillet Bolanos-Carig, she introduced me to John Grisham and I really liked 2 of his books which were: The Client and A Time to Kill. I'm saving up for this new John Grisham book which I saw at National Bookstore few months ago. Thanks for my brother T.J., if ever I like a certain book I usually ask it from him. The latest book that my brother gave me is: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson but until now I haven't read it. I will try to have that time soon.

With my daughters influence, I like Taylor Swift's songs, all of them. I love some of Lady Gaga's songs especially her song Born This Way. But I have my own set of favorites as well, let''s just say that these songs are during my time and I want to share it with you, some of you may know the songs and the singers; some may not:

1. I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith
2. With A Smile by Eraserheads
3. Have I Told You Lately by Rod Stewart ( I love his version actually)
4. Home by Michael Buble
5. I Finally Found Someone by Bryan Adams featuring Barbara Streisand
- this is actually my song for my husband, Francis...
6. In the End by Linkin Park
7. Glory of Love by Peter Cetera
8. Against All Odds by Phil Collins.
I still have a few other things to share with you but for now these things will be the first.
Until my next update....

I'm Back....

After a long time of being away, I have decided to come back here at blogspot.com and make a few changes in my blog. I hope this time I will not be lazy in updating my blog and all. Hey I do have a lot of things in hand. I don't have someone to help me with all of my household chores, with looking after my youngest (though she is already 4). But probably this is my destiny, to be a wife and mother.

Well, I have to bid goodbye for now because my kids just arrived from school and I have to attend to their needs, until tomorrow.... :))
