Summer Get-Away

Summer is OFFICIALLY here. It is sooo freaking hot and what is the best way to beat this heat than to go on an outing. My family had an impromptu family outing last week. It has been 2 years since the last time we went out on a family swimming. (click here) So when hubby talked to me that morning and asked me if we want to go on another swimming, we all said YES immediately. He told me of this resort,VALENTINO RESORT AND SPA. I didn't know that there is such a place within our area. So I immediately called if there is any cottage(s) available for a family of 5. And sure enough they accommodated us, but then again I have to pay 1 for Amaya since the amount we will be paying upon entering is just good for 4. Check in time is at 2:00 pm so we were there on the dot. We were that excited. Hahaha! Enough of this and let the pictures talk its way to you my dear bloggers.

This the reception area of
the resort

This is our cottage called
Contemporary

The entrance to the

As soon as you enter
this sofa set will

3 to 4 persons, but they
could give you additional bed/s

I so love this lighting...

place your clothes

there is a phone whenever
you need something, they
are just a call away

in my dream house...

When we got there, the maintenance of the resort where doing some cleaning and painting of some of the gates and all. There was no cable connection when we got there, but on the other hand this is on my favor because we were able to really bond and have a good time. The heater in our cottage is not really functioning well and the person who knows to do the work was on a day off that time. But as the saying goes if there is a will there is definitely a way. Don't forget to bring OFF LOTION because as soon as it gets dark there are really mosquitoes already. We had the 2 pools, which is nearer to our cottage, to ourselves. This is why we had a great time swimming to our hearts content. All in all this is one family experience my daughters, hubby and I would never forget. I could say that what we paid is really worth it. So if you want to go and just relax even just for few days, try this resort.

Tagaytay

March. The third month of the year. Where did the 2 months have gone?! Time indeed really flies so fast (LITERALLY). This month is full packed already for me especially for my eldest daughter who will be graduating from elementary. Aside from that there is the graduation ball, practice for the graduation, plays and others. Whew! Just a mere mention of the things makes me tired already. So before my complicated schedule begins, I would like to share with you few happening(s) in my family (hubby's side). This is a 3 part story though. First off the list is our family weekend getaway when we went to Tagaytay last February 25.

It has been a while since the last time we went to Tagaytay. Hubby was suppose to bring us to Solenad but had a last minute change of plans (LITERALLY), and was so happy that the kids agreed to their tatay's IMMEDIATE plan of going to another place. Before we reach Tagaytay hubby decided to take our picture somewhere.

By the time we got to Tagaytay proper it was past 6 in the evening already. Hubby decided to buy a burger at Mushroom Burger. Since my daughters and I are not really fans of the said burger, we all agreed to eat dinner at Summit Ridge. We were suppose to eat at Bacolod's Chicken Inasal when we saw this.

So we decided to try it out since my daughters love Filipino dishes. We ordered Tinolang Manok, 3 pieces of Pork Barbecue and Fried Chicken for my ate Joie. All the viands (ulam) have rice already. Since there are tables and chairs outside of the restaurant, we decided to eat there to feel the cool weather of Tagaytay.

the very hot and delicious Tinolang Manok
this order is good for 2 to 3 persons.

this was suppose to be 3 but since
I am hungry already I ate one.

After dinner we left Francis there because he was still finishing his report that was submitted on the Monday. My daughters and I were surprised to see that there is already a TIANGGIAN there. My 2 daughters bought 2 shorts worth 100.00 pesos.

This duo will keep you company whether you're
eating in any of the restaurants there
or doing some shopping at the
tianggian.

my youngest pleaded to me to buy
her a bubble which is just 35.00
so buy na para ndi na makulit. And
there she played with her 2 older sisters and
a little girl who was so happy with the
bubbles as well.

The girls and I had a grand time with our prince charming, Francis. The kids are hoping to go back there again.... Soon...

Gala to the Max

Last January 21 my family went on a whole day of mall hopping and window shopping. First stop was Alabang Town Center. We just went around to see what latest store has opened and all. Then we bought a gift for Francis' god daughter who will be baptized this coming Saturday. After going around ATC, our next stop is Paseo de Sta. Rosa. We went around as well. We went inside Bench and looked around because they have a sale there. Since we didn't see anything nice we went out of the store. Then we went to GAP, there I saw this rib tank tops and Francis' bought me 2 of the top.

each of these is 795.00

After Paseo, our next stop was Nuvali. Here we ate at Uncle Cheffy Brick-Oven BBQ. Francis has already eaten here with his colleagues from work so he thought of introducing it to us. He ordered their famous Cheese Panizza, All Meat BBQ Platter, half and for dessert Cheffy Cheesecake. Here are the pictures while waiting for our food (NOTE: the only picture I took was the Panizza, I forgot to take of the pictures of the other 2 meals...#akonaanggutom)

Ate Joie, asked me to take a

here is the Cheese Panizza...I tell
you this one is sooo delicious.

To be honest with the Panizza alone, sold out na ko sa food na ito. I really love this one. So if there is a Uncle Cheffy near you, try it out. After eating here, we still went around Nuvali and since it was a Saturday, open ang bazaar type stalls nila. After going around we spent few more minutes sa grounds nila, there Francis and Amaya ran and ran to their hearts content.

A Fun Day For Everyone

Last Saturday, September 17, 2011 my whole family went to Alabang Town Center to have some fun and enjoy that Saturday afternoon playing at Timezone. My husband played with my daughters. It is only here that he can really let his hair down. Hahaha! After playing and eating at ATC, we went to Paseo de Sta. Rosa to buy a pair of new rubber shoes for my eldest daughter in Payless shoes. Though it was a short one due to bad weather I knew that my kids had a grand time.

Our Very First Family Outing

Last April 2011 Francis surprised the kids by going to our very first family outing. Our destination is at the Kabayan Beach Resort here in Laiya, San Juan Batangas City. Since we are all excited, we woke up quite earlier than the usual since it was still vacation for us. We ate breakfast then left the house around 7:15 am so that we wouldn't be caught in the traffic jam.
But since there was no traffic at all, we arrived at the resort at 8:45 a.m. We asked the front desk if they could accommodate us since we didn't made any reservations at all. And they allowed us. Francis decided to rent an air conditioned room complete with a cable t.v., bathroom, refrigerator, a nice comfy bed and others. It cost us big time (4,500.00 pesos) just for the whole day rent but it was okay since we all had a grand time swimming on the beach and in the pool.

After lunch my eldest daughter, Arielle and I slept while Francis, with Joie and Amaya
swam on the beach. When I woke up I followed them on the beach then swam on the pool after. Before 4:30 p.m we decided to rest and take advantage of using the room (since, it was quite expensive). The kids watch Nickelodeon while Francis and I stroll down the beach and he took few pictures of me.

By 6:00 p.m. the whole family took a stroll to the beach side. Since it was low tide already we were able to go to the farthest part of the beach. The kids and my husband had a grand time. I also had a grand time but seeing them, my hubby and kids, enjoying it was more than enough for me.

It was one vacation that we will never ever forget. I hope next year we could do it all over again.
To Francis, tatay, thanks for taking time out from your hectic schedule to take us on this one unforgettable vacation
