Cupcakes... Anyone?!

Hello! Dear blog readers.... I know it has been a while since the last post I made. The past month was not a good one for me, health wise. I was down for 2 weeks due to MEASLES. Yup, at my age, I did catch it. Anyway, I am glad to say that after a week of full rest, I am okay, back to my normal routine and all. So I would like to claim that this month, OCTOBER will be a good one for me and my kids. October will be good to me.

So on with my blog post today... Yup... You read it right, CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES. YUM. I am a self confessed chocoholic. So when I learned that one of my co-mommy did a cupcake for one of her clients, I immediately wanted to try it. So last Friday, I sent a message to her via facebook that I would like to order a dozen of cupcakes... Chocolate that is. And she replied that I will be able to get the cupcakes by Tuesday morning (which was today...). I paid 300.00 pesos for a dozen. And now may I present to you the chocolate cupcakes.

the chocolate cupcakes

I know you want to know how was it? Well, the cupcake itself is soft and moist. The icing is not too sweet, as my daughter said, MOM HINDI SIYA NAKAKAUMAY... I really like it, as in. So the money I saved for buying this is really worth it. I am sure my older daughter will love this too.

So if you're within Lipa area, here is her number for inquiries - 0918-985-0122 and look for Mahel Gutierrez. Aside from cupcakes, her other products are Brownies (which I really do love too), cookies (different ones), crinkles.

My New Discovery: Mustela Cologne

A few weeks ago, I saw via Instagram the 3 fragrance of  My Mom-Friday , one of the many mommy blogs I read. What caught my attention was the MUSTELA COLOGNE. I am not a fan of perfume or any strong colognes which causes my asthma. When I was in high school, I was introduced to this colognes called, DENENES, which I used until I was in college. It has only lately that I went back to using colognes. And since I was intrigues by this brand, the friend of My Mom-Friday gave me the cellphone number of Mustela.

It was an easy transaction. I sent my name and address via SMS. I asked few questions then decided to place my order few days after. I paid the item via BDO and after 3 to 4 days my cologne arrived. Yey!!!

The day I received my item,
it was delivered by LBC
(sorry I can't turn it around)

The moment I opened the
item I purchased the receipt
was included, and it is a legit one.
The amount in the receipt is of the cologne
alone plus shipping fee which is 120.00

the cologne was
wrapped in bubble wrap

the cologne, can't wait to use it
with my purchase they added
sample products to try...
I could spray this cologne a lot of times because the smell doesn't last long, but then again I am definitely happy with my purchase. I can't wait to buy their other products as well.

Mommy Find: Artzooka Kit

Yesterday after the card giving at Silver Crest, Amaya and I went to SM to buy few things at the grocery. But as usual before we went straight to the grocery, we went to the toy section of the department store. Luckily as we were passing, the sales lady was stocking up their new products, Artzooka Kits and other DYI kits. So first is first, what is Artzooka? Artzooka is a show where the host named, Jeremie shows the kids of what they could do with old, stuff found in the house. Here in the local cable Artzooka is shown over at Nickelodeon  usually at 4:00 p.m during weekdays.

The Product that is currently
available at SM
So when Amaya saw this, she really begged to buy the product. The kit that we bought is worth 299.75. So After the begging and all, since she could do this on her own and besides she deserves a prize for making it to the honors list.
At the back of the kit shows
what is included in the box

The materials that Amaya
will be using for this Artzooka
project

There goes Amaya, pretty excited
to paint the rock and put the designs
on it as well

Amaya is mixing the colors on
the rock

One of Amaya's finished product

The color of one of the rocks
that Amaya made, this is the
other side of the rock.

Another project made by Amaya

To the  mommies out there who will purchase this kind of Artzooka kit, be sure to assist your child in doing such art craft. Be sure to put used bond papers or old newspaper on top of the table or where ever you prefer to do your craft. I hope that you will enjoy doing this, as much as Amaya did.

My First Ever On-line Purchase: Lulu Swing

I was tweeting when I saw Patty Laurel's tweet about a contest on her blog and the prize is the winner's choice of shoes from LuLu Swing. So I joined and tried my luck if I will win but I guess lady luck wasn't on my side. Anyhow, I liked their fan page at Facebook and followed them at Twitter. Since they are an online business and I have seen most of their fans very happy with their purchases, I tried ordering.

I place my order thru their facebook fan page. They have this order form that you should fill it up, click here so you could see it... Then I paid them via deposit once they sent me the email of the total amount that I will be depositing in their account. I paid the amount last September 7. Then last Monday morning, the helper of my sister in law brought this to me, my package has arrived. That fast. Wow!

When I opened the package
the box is like that already,
I guess natabunan ng ibang
mas mabibigat. Still I am excited.

But of course I have to
take a photo of this brand.

tada!!!! my newly bought sandals
from Lulu Swing... And I loved it.

Thanks to Lulu Swing for being so efficient and for being so patient with me. Wondering? I really did something stupid the night I received their confirmation email, I didn't mean to delete it. And the following morning I texted them and they replied to me immediately. Hahaha! Thank you so very much for accommodating my texts. Will I order to them again? But of course, soon. I have to save up for it.

So Quick: The Simplest Marinade

*this blog is not an endorsement or what so ever....

Since I don't have someone with me to help me with some of the household chores, most of the times what is usually advertised on the television especially when it comes to cooking or frying I usually try it, as they say TRIAL AND ERROR. One time I so this So Quick by Ajinamoto on t.v. and told the kids that we will definitely try that one. So when I had the chance to finally buy the product, I tried it. So here are what you will need.

The So Quick Marinade Mix

Chicken Legs, I usually buy 7 to 8 pieces
then I usually slit some of the parts
of the legs so that when I fry it,
the inner part will be cooked as well

Dissolve 1 pack of So Quick to a
cup of water then stir it using a fork

Then place the chickens and
marinate it for 15 minutes or more

Then place cooking oil in
pan and let it heat,

fry 2 pieces at a time in the pan

If you have extra marinade and chicken
you could place it in a reusable
bag like in the photo above.

I apologize if I don't have a picture of the finished product because as soon as I took out the 1st 2 chickens from the pan, my girls got it already and ate it away. Hahaha! I hope with this simple recipe I could have helped you. Enjoy!

My New Find: Oryspa Organic Soap

Few weeks ago, while at the mall, I saw this small stall, if I could call them that way. Oryspa is the name of the stall. They are selling products ranging from baby care, bath and body care, home and spa solutions. The main ingredient in all of their products is called RICE BRAN... For my first purchase(s), I bought the following:

these soaps when used, super bango (it smells
really, really good). The Goatsmilk & Oatmeal,
when you use it, there is this smell that
you would like to eat. hahaha!

while this Tea Tree when used, it has
this calming-effect when used.

One thing that I have noticed is that ever since I used the soap, Goatsmilk and Oatmeal to my youngest daughter's body, naging makinis na yung balat niya (my youngest daughter's skin became smooth) to think ang dami nyang mga sugat caused by scratching and all. Each of the soap above, cost 135.00 pesos, it is expensive but then again it is worth it especially I could see the difference in my skin as well as in the skin of my3 daughters

Yeah, you read it right, CHAMPORADO
SCRUB. hahaha! And I tell you, IT DOES
smell like champorado. This one is used
for the face, 2x or 3x a week. So far I am
enjoying using this product, the oiliness
in my face has lessen. So far so good.

I am no beauty expert but then again I am sharing with you my dear blogger readers, what I have found and probably you could try it. I am trying to be "green" as possible, by using organic products like the ones above.

*NOTE: I AM NO BEAUTY EXPERT, JUST SHARING MY THOUGHTS AND HOW I DO FIND THE PRODUCTS THAT I BOUGHT...
